I'll try to
make this blog bilingual, I apologize myself in advance to those who will read
me in english.
J'ai commencé à faire mon piquage, à partir du modèle #4
publié précedemment. Je me suis
également inscrite au cours Creative Quilting with your Walking Foot de Craftsy, question d'apprendre quelques
trucs pour me simplier la vie. Premier
I begun my
quilting, using the 4th design I posted previously. I also subscribe to Craftsy class Creative Quilting with your Walking Foot, to
learn some tricks before beginning.
First tip, use a registration line, along with the baseline to help to keep
your lines straight.
Test / Testing
I did a quick test to dermine the space betweem my quilting lines. Half a inch doesn't have much impact, I'll go with a quarter inch, teacher's favorite.

Planification / Planning
I plan to quilt the frames first, then the vertical lines. And the FQM in frame at last. To trace the frames, I used a chalk pencil, to make the lines very visibles. I try an Hera Marker and a 24" ruler to mark the vertical lines and it worked out really well on a dark and solid fabric. I also tried a gadget to trace lines with a chalk, but the lines are too thin. In the end, I think I prefer chalk.
