Snif.

This quilt is done.  Started in summer vacations, it was completed in 3 months. Not that bad.  Quilting took longer than piecing.  I love it.  This quilt will be gifted to my aunt at Christmas so it will leave my house. Sad.

Piquage / Quilting

A very light green thread is used for the petals and a white thread was used for the background.  I'm vey happy about my choice.   The light green thread really look great on solid fabrics and do not disturbed too much on blue fabrics.

I regroupes the petals by group of four, and quilted the same design in each of them.  A total of 30 designs for 120 peels.  I quilted opened paisleys in the backgrounf, design that I loved and that is really quick to do.

Devant / Top

Le soleil pour la texture / Sun is so good to show quilting texture
My brother-in-law asked: these textures are part of the fabric right ?

Endos / Back

The backing fabric hide really well all imperfections.  In fact, it hides them a little bitt too much, we can't see anything.  Note to myself, choose a fabric a little less fuzzy next time.

    1. Merci beaucoup.

    1. Thank you for the compliments in French. I added you to my reading list. I really like your Fat Quarter Fizz. I just teach a FMQ workshop at my guild and the first tow designs I showed were the loop and the daisies. And you combined both. I will send them a like to your blog so they can see this mix in action.

    1. Thank you. I saw your blog previously in the week. I'm always in admiration for people who do embroidery. That's simply not for me. I had just embroidery some quilt labels. And that was it.

    1. Thank you. The label isn't sewn yet, I can still change my mind ! I won't do that. But I like it very much. Maybe she won't love it and give it back to me.... I won't put too much hope in that. BTW, I really like you lizards quilt. They look so animated.

Your Elsa's dress is really pretty. I already used that kind of fabric, in grey, to sew knight costume. I ended up too sewing by hand.
